No music post today. I went to make one, but lacked any particular enthusiasm for an artist or song. I was blown away by last.fm’s sudden visual overhaul, which I had no inkling was in the works – this served as more of a distraction than an impetus to indulge in music love, alas. Gadget love trumps audiophilia this week.
The word of the day, nay the zeitgeist of late, is logorrhoea. Paraphrasing from another website, the spoken form of logorrhoea (in the non-medical sense) is a kind of verbosity that uses superfluous or fancy words to disguise a useless or simple message as useful or intellectual, or very simply:
Noun
logorrhoea (uncountable)
1. (medicine, UK) An excessive and often uncontrollable flow of words.
2. (humorous, UK) Excessive talkativeness.Synonyms
* (excessive talkativeness) verbal diarrhea (US), verbal diarrhoea (UK)
That’s the blogosphere alright. Delicious.

I’m not sure how a four syllable swath of Latin is either of those things, but I’m glad you enjoy it.
